Diabetes Health Profile (DHP) Licensing Association with Isis Outcomes

newlogoDHP Research is pleased to announce their formal association with Isis Outcomes – an activity within Isis Innovations ltd, the technology transfer company of the University of Oxford. The association means that Isis Outcomes will now manage the licensing and marketing of the Diabetes Health Profile (DHP) – A diabetes-specific patient reported outcome (PRO) measure on behalf of DHP Research. DHP Research will continue to support the use of the DHP (and other PRO measures) through the provision of expert advice by the developer of the DHP, Dr Keith Meadows.

Developed to measure the impact of living with diabetes including, psychological distress, restrictions in daily activities and disorganised eating behaviour, the DHP has been completed both nationally and internationally by more than 10,000 people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

PrintDr Churchman, Business Manager at Isis Outcomes said “Isis Outcomes provides licenses for some of the most respected PROs used by the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare providers and we are especially pleased that the DHP – a widely adopted diabetes PRO – is now part of our rapidly growing portfolio of high quality PRO measures covering neurological disorders, orthopedics, gynaecology, cardiology, rheumatology and psychiatry.”

Dr Churchman added “…we compliment the provision of our PRO measures by providing services supporting the use of our own and other PROs, all in a best-practice environment. These support services include translation and linguistic validation, ePROs and expert advice in support of the deployment, scoring and analysis of data from the use of PRO measures. Isis can also provide advice on the development and psychometric validation of PROs.
